Pensacola (2001/2002) 12'   Orchestra, spatialized brass, computer    AUDIO
First performed by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, with Jukka-Pekka Saraste.
Commissioned by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.  Subsequent performances by the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, the Winnipeg Symphony, and the Esprit Orchestra.

First performed by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, with Bramwell Tovey.
Subsequently performed by the Esprit Orchestra, with Alex Pauk.  Commissioned by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.

First performed by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, with Jukka-Pekka Saraste.
Written while Composer in Residence with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.

wonder (1996) 16'   Orchestra, tape, soprano    AUDIO
First performed by the CBC Vancouver Radio Orchestra, with Owen Underhill.
Commissioned by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.  Subsequently performed by the Austrian Radio Philharmonic, with Arturo Tamayo, and the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra, with Daniel Warren.  Ranked third in the world (recommended work) at the 1997 International Rostrum of Composers (UNESCO, Paris).

First performed by the CBC Vancouver Radio Orchestra, with Mario Bernardi.
Subsequent performance by the Composers Orchestra, with Gary Kulesha.
2nd Prize, SOCAN Foundation Awards for Young Composers (Orchestral Category).  3rd Prize, CBC Young Composers Competition (Orchestral Category).
